The Association of Education Advisers is holding an education seminar on Wednesday 25 March 2020, from 9.30 to 11.30am, at The Institute of Directors,116 Pall Mall, London SW1Y 5ED

The establishment of the national professional standards and the accreditation of education advisers is unequivocally supported by key national education organisations within England. For example:

‘The accreditation of education advisers is essential.’ NAHT.

‘This accreditation is a real step forward.’ ASCL.

‘Schools and Trusts need to have some assurance of quality when they commission support.’ CST.

‘It seems such common sense.’ NGA.

‘It is essential that schools get advice from high quality advisers.’ SSAT.

Our mission is to ensure that every region in the country has access to a network of independent education advisers who have a recognised nationally accredited quality standard. We are establishing Centres in Hampshire, Devon, London, Birmingham, Greater Manchester and Yorkshire and Humberside.  We are now launching the AoEA Centre for London.

During our first full year of operation, we have accredited around 100 advisers. These include serving and former headteachers, Chief Executives of MATs and TSAs, and education specialists from LAs and the private sector.

Twenty of the accredited advisers operate within the London area. Even at this stage, the London region can call on specialists who can support leadership and governance, data analysis, self-evaluation and review, curriculum-led financial planning, subject specific support, transition and change management, new build guidance, school improvement planning, supporting vulnerable learners, SEND and many other areas.

However, our schools tell us much more capacity is needed. We will be discussing how we can expand the capacity and quality of support across London at our March Seminar.
