AoEA EduKIT - Mick Waters and Tim Brighouse

To book your space, please email info@aoea.co.uk

The AoEA Keeping in Touch meeting is a way for all our members to share knowledge, best practice and have a forum where you can discuss with your peers any areas of concern or support you require.

We are delighted that Mick Waters and Tim Brighouse will be delivering our EduKIT this week.

Tim Brighouse and Mick Waters will discuss their recent book and some of the implications for those who support school improvement. In research for the book, they interviewed over 100 people connected with schooling. These included 14 former secretaries of state as well as their ministers, civil servants, chief inspectors, special advisers as well as head teachers and leaders of schooling organisations.

The book focuses upon English schooling over the last 45 years and highlights progress made as well as some of the side effects and problems. It ends with some suggestions for improvement in the system.

Many of the issues in the book affect schooling elsewhere in the UK and internationally and the session will be thought provoking for anyone who seeks to help schools improve on their previous best.
