Felicity was until December 2016 CEO of the Fylde Coast Academy Trust and the Fylde Coast Teaching School. Felicity specifically oversaw the Corporate Services Unit that supported sponsored academies, including a rebuild of three schools. As a National leader of Education she focussed on Senior Leader and Governor training and took part in the Area Review of Sixth Form Colleges for the DFE.Felicity was Principal of The Blackpool Sixth Form College for 10 years during which the college went from Satisfactory to Outstanding (Ofsted 2005 and 2009). She oversaw a significant change to the curriculum including the introduction of a flexible curriculum model that allows students to mix vocational and academic study, a 50% growth in student recruitment, a rise in results and the numbers accessing HE, a rebrand of the college and a rebuild of 80% of the estate at a cost of £29 million. A founder member of AQA’s Quality Committee, Felicity was a Trustee for 11 years, and Chair of their Curriculum Committee. Having recently been Chair of Governors of a Primary School in Blackpool for four years, she now continues to work on AQA’s Irregularities and Appeals Committee and is a Trustee of a Charity that supports refugees into employment.
